In der Neuen Messe München heißt es ab dem 28.10.2011 „Willkommen in der Welt der Mineralien, Edelsteine, Schmuck und Fossilien!“. Zu den 48. Mineralientagen in München gibt es funkelnde Raritäten zu sehen. Ausgestellt wird von Händlern, Museen und privaten Sammlern. Der Eröffnungstag am 28.10 ist dem Fachpublikum vorenthalten, am Wochenende hat jeder Gelegenheit zum Staunen und sich Inspirieren lassen.
In der Sonderschau „European Dinosaurs“ werden die bekanntesten Dinosaurier-Originalfunde Europas gezeigt.
In der Gemworld Munich werden wunderschöne Schmuckstücke vom Trauring bis zum Diamanten präsentiert.

„Herausforderung Gesundheit“, so lautet das Motto der 11. Munich Science Days. From 22. to 25.10 nehmen sich Wissenschaftler und Mediziner der Aufgabe an, Interessierten in vielen Vorträgen die neuesten Erkenntnisse der medizinischen Forschung näher zu bringen. An über 30 Orten werden Vorträge gehalten, ebenso gibt es Workshops, Ausstellungen und Führungen zu den verschiedensten Themen.
Besonders interessant sind auch Vorträge zur allgemeinmedizinischen Prävention, Bewegung und Ernährung betreffend.
Im Audimax im Hauptgebäude der LMU finden am 22. and 23.10 20 besondere Vorträge statt. Behandelt werden hier unter anderem Themen zu Naturheilverfahren, Antikörper im Kampf gegen den Krebs, Volkskrankheit Diabetes, Stammzelltherapie und Transplantationsmedizin.
